Finally found my "grail machine", GRAVITAR! I discovered this game by accident. When I was trying to trade my Neo Geo this summer, I stared a discussion with a retail arcade dealer in St Louis and mentioned that I was looking for Gravitar. At that time, this cabinet was sitting in his basement and not his showroom. His asking price was out of my rage so I was forced to pass. Last week, I decided to contact the dealer again and see if we could strike a fair deal and we did!
I know there's people here would love pinball and have gone "pinball" and never looked back. I must say I'm the opposite. I liked my Evel Kneival pin but my heart is really in classic video arcades. I just find pinball not nearly as fun as video arcades. So I made the trade for my "grail".
The control panel was in the best condition of any classic game I've ever bought. This is why..
Someone had drilled 5 holes and bolted plastic or plexi over the CP. Decent trade off, five small holes for a really nice Gravitar CPO.
Here's some eye candy for all those that love the classic Atari artwork like me
I couldn't resist....
