I've been after a Zoo Keeper for quite a while, I passed on the only other one I've seen come up this year due to no funds at the time, and my buddy picked it up instead.
I started restoring a converted completely Zoo Keeper back to a ZK recently. After I posted that and started trying to find a board set a member on here said he would part one out if the money was right. I sent him a PM, and asked how much he'd sell the cabinet for outright as it seemed too nice to part out. The amount was reasonable, the only issue was the fact that he was 1,240 miles away in Alabama. I debated a bit, and even inquired about buying all the parts only but in the end it just seemed to make the most sense to make the drive and get the whole cabinet.
I left at midnight Friday and got back home around 10pm Saturday. I don't know how many times I almost fell asleep on the way back.
Someone had built a base out of 2x4's so I spent this morning building a new base properly out of mitered 1x4's. It's the second Taito base I've built within a week.
This cabinet didn't have a chassis, just a G07 tube. I had a G07 chassis here that I bought from a member that was supposed to be rebuilt and tested working. It wasn't.
Thanks to a buddy I was able to get another chassis and after a while of rebuilding and troubleshooting it tonight this thing is working great. I can't wait to get it to the basement.
