Finally got OEM buttons for my DK

And people call me crazy for polishing mine.. Great job there.

With all these little plastic shops looking for business it shouldn't be too hard to reproduce them. Just investing the money to fill out the demand.

You Know if there plastic rod stock you could lathe and polish off a few.
While the labor to produce will go up For a short run it might be better than making a mold.

I bought a DK3 fully populated panel just to get OEM buttons and joystick for my DK, but I need to route the bottom of my panel so the joystick is the right height. $50 shipped for 3 buttons and joystick plus a DK3 panel is excellent condition :)

I think I actually saw that one on ebay and was considering it. That's the type of deal I would look for if I needed more buttons. Considering shipping is usually expensive for CPs and nice OEM buttons are pricey/HTF, you got a great deal.

Sweet. $17.50 is a great deal. You should track down Mr. Specialty Plastics and tell him there is a need. He probably couldn't care less though.

I just finished a light Novus 1 polish and installed them. Mmm...OEM...

Looks great! Seems that the center shafts may be a little bit shorter and the outer bezel might be a bit wider on the repros.

I realized that my DK 3 had really nice buttons just after I sold it. I wish I would have swapped them before I posted for sale pics. :)

Yeah, that would have been a good idea. I made the same mistake with a couple of my old Nintendo cabinets I sold that had brand new stock coin faceplates/buttons/chutes direct from Asahi Seiko.

I should have swapped them with the ones that were on my DK that I restored, one of which I had to patch the coin hole because they drilled a hole in it. Though, they are fairly inexpensive and I could always order more, but it would have saved me the trouble.
