Yeah it took me a few years, but I picked one off ebay from Steve (not sure what his name is on here). Just got it today. Purchased as not working.

Here is what I had to do:

1) clean the game.
2) replace the blown fuses.
3) replace the MCR Power Supply.
4) replace the t-molding.
5) replace the flyback and fuse.
6) recap the monitor.
7) replace the HOT and fuse.
8) unfortunately the tube was bad, so I rejuved the tube. Turned out nice.
9) Broken wire on the left controller.

The u/d opto isnt working, so ill mess with it tomorrow.

Hi Jon, Glad you like her.

It sure didn't take you long to get her up and running.

Much better than sitting in my climate controlled storage unit collecting dust with the ton of other games I have there.

Fun cabinet but do you like the game play? I just couldn't get in to it.

...

I really like the cabinet, maybe more than the game play.
But I did play it a lot as a kid.. They had one in Circus Circus Reno with a Kosmik Krooz'r next to it.

Man that sure is unique. I remember playing it one time BITD, can't remember where, but the slanted control panel really screwed me up bad! Congrats on getting the game you wanted!

...

The cabinet is awesome and feels perfectly comfortable.

I once (about 10 years ago) saw a Wacko converted to a BUBBLE BOBBLE.
Now that was weird :)

I have never seen or heard of that game. The cab looks really cool though. If you get some time could you post a video on the game play.........I'm curious. Thx :)

I originally got mine because of the unique cabinet. It took me a bit of playing but I very much like the game now.

Hey Jon, FYI, there is a free play ROM for this game. I can send you the image if you want it (if you don't already have it).

Game play is cool. Reminds me of the memory/match game.

I think the cab and game play is unique enough to keep people interested. I'll put pictures up tonight of my gamerow.

I tried playing Wacko at CAX, but I guess I didn't "get" it. The CP was uncomfortable to me, too.

Glad you got a game you have been searching for. Its always a good feeling.

I acquired my Wacko over 7 years ago now at a local auction. It is a neat game with a very unusual cabinet. I can recall playing one in the Penny Arcade at the Minnesota State Fair back in the 80's.

A few years back, I completely disassembled and rebuilt the track ball for mine. The track ball unit is unique to this game. However, it does use a standard size ball and standard bearings. The rollers are unique; I had new replacements custom machined from stainless steel.

I'm pondering selling my Wacko to make room for something different in the game room. It would be hard to part with it, though. :-(

That cab is pretty awesome. Looking at the gameplay video it looks a little bland. Not bad though. That annoying buzzing sound would get to me I think. The cab is the main attraction for sure.

Well I made that mistake a few years back. I had a mint Wacko for quite a while (picked it up in Kansas City and drove it to Florida).
I got bored with it and sold it, but missed it almost immediately. My focus has changed quite a bit in the past 2 years and ive been buying all the games ive missed and holding onto them now :)
