about a year or so ago I traded someone a monitor recap job for their ms.pac in exchange for a broken pc10 single monitor.

guy called me up yesterday asking if i wanted it since he managed to get another one. I of course said yes under the knowledge that the monitor was working great when I left a year prior.

Was a little upset that the monitor appears to have gotten worse.. Just not bright, can't lock in colors properly... I will have to start a monitor thread about it.... but as for the guts... it's all intact. Original board w/ daughterboard cab etc. Cab is in better than not shape structurally.. art seems to have been horribly touched up but that was all there a year prior.

nothing stellar. cost me $300 at the end of the day but at least I have one now. Def need to find a new coin door. hopefully I can do something with the front too :-/

just wanted to share

Not a bad score. IMHO price is a little high for the condition. But I have been getting awesome prices on games lately. I haven't paid over $100 for a game in almost 3 years. No wait I did pay $200 for my BZ Cabaret. You should be able to take that door apart and flatten it with a hammer. And rustoleum sells a good textured finish paint I used on mine.

I too would agree at the price being a little high for condition. But then again I can't say I wouldn't of paid $300 for it.. Especially if it was something you've been looking for. Out here they aren't too common.

Kinda wished they would of matched the paint better with that touchup they did.. it really makes it stand out. Just place 2 other machines on each side and you'll be good to go.

Did you have plans for a 60-in-1 or are you going to keep it original?

I am going to keep it original. Too many have been butchered. I have a Universal Cab w/ 60 in 1 that I will probably offload to make room for this. Actually, I wanted to build a cab from scratch and just get a mame or arcade sd. after 3 or 4 icades.. they are kinda "meh"

I haven't really been able to find too many around here for less than $500. I figured I could always put it on the CL for $400 and get my $ back. Also sucks because I wasn't really up for the "haggle" after I already agreed on the price etc. prior.

I am a little pissed about the tube to be honest. It probably needs a rejuve but I don't have a rejuvinator so I had to post for someone local in the wanted section - hopefully I get some bites.

The bezel is pretty decent, the marquee is pretty decent so all in all, it's really cosmetic on the dang cab. I suppose I could go crazy and stencel - but I have to finish my PC10 restore before I start another project or the Mrs. will kill me.

I'd consider getting a multi PAC kit since it still runs on the original hardware.

Really? You are not that far out of the Chicago area where they are pretty common.

As what, the 60-in-1 lcd conversions painted over, beat to hell cabs?.. Let alone over priced.. no thanks.. Rarely any true dedicated ones out there anymore, is what I should of said. I have my Ms. Pac already and at a good price.

Anyways, back on subject. If your planning on keeping it where the side art is exposed, it might not be a bad idea to match the blue up, just to make it overall look a little better. But if you do that you may want to just do the whole thing?

Yes, sadly that seems to be the trend... But, they are still out there. Oh well, what can you do. Just keep hunting I guess, that's part of the fun of it. Thinking about having a game day if your interested, it will probably be a while we have new born in the house. But I would like to think in a few months I can make that happen.

I would - trust me. I just don't know if I have the talent / energy to do it proper with the stencil..

I rather keep it as-is than use a sticker... but you are right. Once I clean out my garage with my PC10 and 60in1 then I will have room to start something like that. I really need like a week off of work so I can just pound it out.
