FINALLY finished my Multi-Williams Control Panel - it was actually not fun!

I picked up this Bubbles cabinet off of CL last summer. It was JAMMA'd and had Combatribes in it when I got it. The JAMMA harness was a little ghetto and missing some wires so I had to pretty much start over. This was my first time wiring a cabinet from scratch and I am actually a little proud that it all worked out. However, crimping and wiring all the molex connector's was an absolute bear. My hand was achin' near the end. I don't ever want to crimp another molex pin again. Holy crap, that sucked! :)

Anyways, I got it all together now and I think the Control Panel turned out great. I decided to just get the ArcadeShop metal control panel and the matching overlay. Quite frankly, I just wanted to be done with it and am happy overall with how it looks but I do wish it didn't have Moon Patrol on it since I have the JROK board. Oh yeah, you guys were complaining about the rivet dimples showing through the CPO. I don't see any of that. I applied the CPO on the bare metal. There are no dimples. NOTE: The Bob Roberts NOS Wico buttons are not that great. I think I will replace them. They feel very cheap.

Also, a little lesson from me to you... don't cut all the coin door wires in one shot when the cabinet is ON. I fried my JROK board when I did it. I must have shorted something to ground or whatever. I fried the input buffer. He was beyond cool enough to fix it for free but what an anti-climatic moment that was! The minute I was done with the CP, I fried the PCB. SUCKED! I should have the board back tomorrow. Thanks JROK!

Anyways, here are some photos of how the CP turned out. I think I will get Rich's marquee when he finishes it to replace the Bubbles marquee. If you guys have any ideas for bezels I would love to hear them.

Nice job on the CP.

Have you gotten to revealing the side art on that cab yet?

I went with the Arcadeshop bezel which works well with that control panel

Only issue, is the instructions are for the AS board and I don't know if they match up with the JROK board?

Is that plexi? Or an insert under the glass?

i like that, john. i've never seen that cpo before, but it looks cooler than a lot of the ones you usually see.

It's ok. The artwork is tolerable. The printing and material quality is decent. I was going to make my own masterpiece and get it printed at Mame Marquees or similar but I just never found the time. So, I am relieved that it finally looks presentable and plays perfect.

On that plexi bezel... is it silkscreened on the inside?

this was the original CPO:
