Looks good. Have fun.

Thanks for your kind, flowery words and outpouring of emotion Mr. 96.

OK Phet...whats next buddy...don't be admiring that work too much..I'm sure you have like 20 other projects waiting for some love...:D

Joust. One side is completely clean, I'll strip the paint and bondo the corners of the other side this week. Already have the stencils, paint, repro CP/CPO, Marquee, Monitor, both coin doors. Need:

Joust Bezel
Lower coindoor jam catches (both)

The base coat is oil-based Sherman-Williams paint, rolled on. Blue is *Blue Rustoleum Painter's Touch 2x Coverage spray paint, the Yellow is *Yellow Rustoleum Painter's Touch 2x Coverage paint.

*Not sure the exact color names as I am at work, and my little spray cans are home sick.

Wow off the self and the colors are so close! I can only tell the difference with the yellow! And your color looks better anyway, less golden yellow.

Nice...that will be another great one to see when its done...Your motivating me for my Bubbles stencils and repaint..

I wish someone would repro the bottom plastic molding that is on some of the bottoms of these cabs..I know bubbles and joust have them...the CPO molding piece is available at arcadeshop but not the bottom cabinet molding anywhere..

Yeah, the yellow was a tough one. I had the right color, Sunburst Yellow, but the spray nozzle on the can was a piece of shit and sputtered all over the frickin place. My other yellow, which the cap showed to be a sunny yellow, turned into more of a butter yellow. Oh well, without the pics of the original, you'd never know the difference.

I hear you, but T-molding.com does have a t-mold that is a close match to the bottom. With this one, I doubled up the foot blocks and now the bottoms of the plywood sides are raised off the floor by at least an inch. Look closely at the bottom of the cab. The feet are sticking out the front, and you can see the bottom of the cab side floating over the concrete.

Best thing I ever did to the bottom of a game.

Really you are right! I couldn't tell until you posted the before photo. I think it looks VERY good! It is not like it will be sitting next to another moon patrol ever. And really it looks better anyway.

I jack up my cabinets with casters I get from walmart for about $2 each, I use 2 straight in the back and 2 swivel in the front.

They look like this:

There are also ones that will screw right into the holes for the feet, but I like to put some 1" stripping on the bottom before mounting the casters. I am 6 feet tall so I have to raise the cabinets so I don't get a sore back from extended play. Also if there is ever any water in my basement -- I will never be flooded as I am on the side of a mountain -- but might have a burst pipe or something.

Awesome restoration dude. Congrats on finishing it up! Looks perfect

Thanks John, still debating on trading CP's with you. I like the way it looks like this, but I'd like to have an extra CP complete with Willis CPO installed to swap out once in a while.

Right on. It would be cool to have both control panels, no doubt. I'm sure a Willis one will pop up before long. Probably worth the wait...

Absolutely awesome. Those Williams cabs just look so fantastic when they are painted correctly. I think you have given me the motivation to restore my Sinistar cab. I hope I can get back to Camp Ripley sometime so I can stop by the Galaxy Blue.

Ripley you say? Last time I was there I saw some of the worst strippers in the history of stripping. Thick glasses, stretchmarks and 1 piece swimsuits with the shoulder straps hanging from the waste, 80's suspender style. You're welcome to stop by anytime.

I was at the Campus Lounge one time when I had to go retrieve an entire battalion for curfew since I was the junior officer at the time. What I saw in that place I will never forget until the day I die and most of it was nasty. I can start another thread on that story, but I will let it die here.

Did you make it to 'the back room'? I thankfully did not have the extra 10 bucks at the time.

I saw everything. The guy at the door tried to charge me and I told him I was there to get my soldiers for curfew and if he didn't let me in I would put the place off limits for all 520 of them although there were only about 100 or so in there that night. After that his attitude changed and he let me in. I really don't know how to describe it, but the closest I can compare it to would be being on a porno set during filming.
