It took 6 years but I finally did it. I picked up a Megatouch Maxx 2K today and the wife loves it. I got it for me but she's glued to it as much as I am. I've the token girls game (Ms. Pac) since before I met her but she hardly ever plays it (or the other games for that matter). I haven't played any Megatouch in quite some time but there are some great games on this one. Monster Madness, Chug 21 and 11 Ball are my favs so far but there's a lot left to try. Photo Hunt is one of my all time favs and the other photo games are good too.

Picked it up in Yankton, SD from an operator after a reasonable 90 mile drive. I probably overpaid. He had one go for $485 last week on E-bay. It was a Diamond 2. I bid several times but got outbid. He said he would have one soon that he could go $450 on and that's what I did. I have never before paid more than $275 except for pins. I think it was worth it. Its my Tax Time present to myself and its hella addicting. No DBA but there is a blanking plate and the game is in overall great shape. T-molding is a little chewed up by the coin return button and the side stickers have a little wear but the cabinet is real nice and the monitor looks great. Its nice to have a game that the wife and I can actually play together and have the same approximate skill level.

I guess I technically now own a multigame.......crap.

Edit: I had trouble uploading my other 2 pics but the sides are blue with the Maxx stickers with the blue dude on them.

Sweet. Chicks love the touchscreens. No idea why. I've kicked around the idea of even building a mountable video poker/ slots/ puzzle game utilizing a flat screen and some computer guts in another attempt to try and get the wife interested in the games in the garage. Doubt it would work.

Hope yours enjoys it!

Women love Megatouches. I bought a Maxx Sapphire first for my wife and of course it was the only game not in the basement. I made the mistake of buying and EVO for my bar and having it delivered home. Needless to say the Maxx Sapphire is at the bar and the EVO is at home. I recommend upgrading to at least Sapphire.

I bought an old Midway Touchmaster running JVL iTouch 5 for pretty cheap of Craigslist last month. My girlfriend has been glued to it every weekend since then. The thing is a beast with a fan that sounds like a jet engine, but it has some nice games. I like Tri Towers - she likes the Pirate block game...

Anyone looking to get their significant other into arcade collecting - look no further than an old touchscreen game.

Actually my wife put her foot down about no more games until I got her the EVO. Then I was allowed to get the Tapper, Berzerk, and Sinistar before she did it again. So that's another thing to keep in mind.
