Velleman has a new handheld sized oscilloscope that is affordable AND having good enough specs for our hobby.

With the size, battery operation, completely auto ranging and the back lit display it is very well suited for our hobby.

Check it out here:

Kinda interesting looking. I can't find any price on their website(s), though...

I'm also not too sure about the only 10MHz bandwidth and only 8-bit A/D.

I'm also not too sure about the only 10MHz bandwidth and only 8-bit A/D.

They are sold here in Europe for €139 which is about 186 USD at the moment.

10 Mhz bandwidth should be high enough for classic boards.

And one channel yes, but is that so bad ?

Anyway, of course you can't compare this to an expensive full-blown table scope, but it's a damn handy size. I think it should be sufficient for a lot of work.

But I don't own one yet. Put it on my wish list for my birthday ;)
