After 5 years of searching I finally managed to bring a sit-down driver in to the Asshat Arcade...
Here is a shot of my wifes cousin and his two boys enjoying the gameroom...
The Rush the Rock Alcatraz Edition is in pretty decent shape physically. It's got a little corner damage at the top back behind the seat on both sides (typical of this machine it seems) and the T-Molding will need to be replaced (already bought and taken possession)...
...then there was a small problem of managing to break the tube neck... >sigh<
But when it was all done here she is. I am still toying with the voltages as I get a reset once in a while. Also, it's been upgraded to a CF reader rather than the hard drive. The monitor in it is a brand new Neo-Tec Tri-Res... and I am 95% happy with it... (still needs some slight adjustments, etc).
Finally... i need to build a new cardboard black-out bezel for it as the that came out of it was beat... and I need to replace the marquee as it's got a nasty crack/tear in it. I will also be repairing the corners with bondo and replacing the T-Molding. Last night I built a cardboard "funnel" for the angled fan in the back to draw air from the outside. I also replaced the noisy fan in it with a much less noisy but just as effective fan. Finally, I need to look in to the type of bulb needed to replace a couple in the control panel buttons.
