Final shipment of Super Mario All-Stars Limited Edition for Wii

To Matt's point, I hope they do come out with Zelda and Metroid anniversary sets. Maybe they will be better since there was never "All-Star" releases of those franchises so they'd need to develop and think it out a bit more than just port a previous release.

My fear for a Zelda anniversary collection is that it'd just be a re-release of the ones they offered on GameCube.

Metroid? They've already done a remake of Metroid for NES. I want RoS and Super Metroid REMADE for consoles, not roms slapped on a disc.

Fair enough. I wish Nintendo would release remakes similar to what Sony is doing with some of the better PS2 titles and what XBLA has done with old games like Prince of Persia and so many old arcade titles. Basically same game with updated graphics....but not updated graphics from 20 years ago or whatever :p

Yeah, but maybe they'll redeem this Mario All-Stars Anniversary with an epic Zelda 30th Anniversary Set in 2016 for the Nintendo 3DWiiSPi that will have:

- All NES, SNES, GB, GBC, GBA, N64, GC releases. DS and Wii would be omitted.
- 6-disc Soundtrack with major tracks from the various games
- 100-page booklet with summary and production notes/pictures of each game.
- Replica actual-sized rupee
- Ocarina w/ song book
- Miniature Master sword with stone stand

And it would all come in a shiny gold Triforce shaped collectors box at a price of $150. I would buy it. One can dream right? :D

We have gotten hosed here in the US. Zelda is my favorite Nintendo franchise, by far.

Over in the Europe (not sure exactly which part. UK?) they have limited editions for Majora's Mask, Oracle of Ages/Seasons, Minish Cap, and The Spirit Tracks. And, there could be more, I don't know of...

This pic has most of them

Is Zelda HUGE over there?

We got a Special Edition GBA SP and DS Lite, but that's it.

Yeah, they've had special edition releases in Japan as well. NoJ > NoA. You would think and hope they'd be consistent across continents, but it has to do with demographics and target customers. I think they care more about the general consumer than hardcore fans here in the US.

I did get this neat stylus from GameStop when Phantom Hourglass came out (picture from the web):

I've got that stylus as well.

I've never used it.

Of course Matt. It's meant to be looked at. Not played with. :D

I have it too... I've been more tempted to use it as a butter knife than as a stylus.

Some how I missed the stylus. I know they exist, but I didn't get one when it came out.

I did get the limited edition DS though.

Any of you guys want to part with your stylus?

I got the Stylus but I didn't have to buy Phantom Hourglass to get it (Though I did).
Anyone could get it, you just had to go to the Nintendo website and ask for it...free shipping and all.

Quite frankly it sucks though, quite useless to actually use it.

Stores should have these in today, for those who may have forgotten but still want one.

Over in the Europe

Like over in the Iraq? ;)

I still have my copy of this for the SNES. Opened but with the plastic still on the box, I didn't see anything new with this version so I didn't buy it. I will buy the same title if something good is added or modified but not a rehash just to have it on the latest console.

Just checked ebay... looks like my investment was ruined.

Not completely, but the prices have been cut in half... oh well.

So how much do you want for that opened copy now? ;)

The Target near me still had about 5 of them yesterday. I picked up an extra in case someone in the family wanted one and missed out.

The original price I had in mind was just what I paid for it. I figured a like new copy would go for the MSRP, even though it was opened, since it was supposed to be limited. I did say I wasn't looking for a fortune.

I'm still glad I have a sealed one. It will still maintain it's value, I think. And maybe some day go back up.

I know I know, I'm just giving you a hard time.

I still feel a little ripped off that all I got was an SNES game on a Wii disc. LOL.

The soundtrack CD? Meh.
The book? Kind of cool.
The price? Fair enough. At least it wasn't priced at $49.99.
Collectible? I guess.

Come on now, you knew what you were getting.
