Final Fight question

Can someone with a Final Fight machine confirm something for me?
I have noticed something in most versions of the game that I play (MAME, Final Fight Double Impact on PSN, iPhone's Capcom Arcade Collection, etc).

When I reach the end of the Slums level and fight against the boss Damnd, after the first round and he whistles for his cronies to show up, it is actually Roxy that appears in that level and not Poison. Is that consistant on genuine arcade machines as well?

I'd have to check as well, but I always thought it was Roxy who showed up first...

I just played my F.F. arcade board for ya.

And, ROXY is the F.F. chick that appears when DAMND whistles.

Actually, when DAMND whistles the second time, she enters the screen--stage left--with the second group of guys.

POISON does not show up until after you beat DAMND and clear ROUND 1.
