Ok im getting frustrated with my final fight and im not sure what else I need to try. Anyways, final fight started out with no video and no sound so I figured my power supply was taking a shit it had neck glow on the monitor....put a new one on and set the new power supply right next to the old one hooked up and took each terminal off one at a time and put them on the new one where the leads should go. Turned the game and now I get no power. Put another power supply on and still nothing. No power anywhere....no neck glow, no marquee, nothing. So I pulled the fuses and put new ones in. Still get nothing. Doubt its the cord as its not mangled and I havent moved the game at all. What do I need to check next since im getting absolutely no power anywhere?

Well, first, check the bloody obvious stuff - like the interlock switch, make sure it's plugged in to an outlet that works, etc...

Then start tracing. Should take five minutes. Use your meter to check for power right where the cord enters the game. Follow the wires and check through the interlock switch, through the cabinet power switch, through the fuses, to the isolation transformer and to the power supply. Somewhere, you have something that's open or disconnected. Even if your power supply is dead/missing, the monitor and marquee light will come on.

Sometimes if the back door is not on it will not power up.

thanks for the responses guys....I dont have an interlock switch on the game itself.....also I know the outlet is good because I plugged something else in the outlet and it worked fine.....i guess like you said start testing power from the cord on upward....maybe the power switch on top of the game took a shit......

disconnect the AC wiring from the power supply you just put in, making sure they don't touch (throw some electrical tape on them if you need to), replace the fuse. power up again with the power supply out, does everything else come on again?

I will have to check when I get home tonight as Im at work.....I just put new fuses in the game so your wanting me to put another new one in and just disconnect the two AC leads on the power supply and then plug it in?

ok i got the final fight working finally....now the only problem is on the montior there is this wave that keeps going across the screen vertically....how do i fix this?
