Final Fantasy XIII amazon.com deal of the day $30 shipped new all systems.

I've played through it, and I would say I enjoyed it very much. Most people go for the "it really opens up after 30 hours" Well, I reached the area it opens up in a little under 20 hours. But, I still had fun playing through it until then.

It's, for sure, the most difficult overall final fantasy I've played in a long while.

I don't think the sales were terrible at all. Amazon does a lot of stuff like that, dicounting newer and more popular games.

Crap, I just payed $60 for this a few weeks ago. Just my luck.

Personally, I got bored of it and stopped playing about 10 hours in. I might eventually start playing it again, but idk.

I lost interest in FF a while back. The last one I played was FF X like a year and a half ago.It was good but not great.Way too easy IMO,especially when you really powered up your characters at that monster ranch place.

I wish SqaureEnix wouldn't have basically cast aside the Dragon Quest series, but I figured that would happen when they merged.DQ 8 was so bad ass on the PS 2.Now DQ is relegated to being on the damn DS....what a crock of shit.Damn you SquareEnix!

I wish Dragon Quest would have been on a home console as well... I haven't played it on the DS yet, so I can't trash it... but I did see the character being moved with the stylus... and that's a peeve of mine.

I miss Square games from when they were Squaresoft and Enix was Enix...

Am I the only the one didn't care for FF once they moved out of 2D? And yes, that includes VII! I have all of them up to X-2, but haven't finished one in years.

Without sounding like a super FF nerd, I would say you are probably in the extreme minority.

as for VII, not my favorite. I like it a lot, but I really don't like how people say it's the best ever... I've heard from most people who say that, it was the first one they played, so it's purely nostalgic for them.

Personally, I like IX, and IV (AKA II on the SNES) would be a close second

I can say that I wasn't too gaga for FF 7 or FF 8.I'd say my favorite one was 1 or 6. I still easily prefer the DQ series over the FF series, but I know I'm in the minority on that. And in my opinion any game/franchise on the big 3(ps3,360,wii) is a major league game/franchise and any on the handhelds are second class citizens.A few exceptions but I think overall this rule applies.

I just played and beat FFIX for the first time a few months ago. That's one of the best story lines I've ever seen in a game. That wasmy first FF game, so it's probably going to be my favorite too.

Yes, IX is underrated. I enjoyed that more than VII too.
