"Fighter Captured" - the fight for the world Galaga record

I'm sure many Klov members will have seen King of Kong.

Recently, there was some movement in the world record for Galaga,
and I think you'll enjoy reading the story of Phil Day, who was hoping to become No. 1.

It's not a short read - but I've tried to pack in as much insight & interest as I could.
If any Klovvers have feedback - I'd love to hear it! :)

great article, not a criticism, but i did notice a typo:

"Losing his depth of field meant that he could now longer play cricket or squash."

Thanks for the encouragement everyone!

@Bradd, ooh, thanks. Fixed that.

Oh, I've now got something pretty cool to give away.
A "baby Galaga" cab - suitable to sit on your desk or monitor...
...and Phil has signed it.

Here's the link for the giveaway page. :)

From the article:

Then – a bombshell.. Mr Flewin emailed to say there was a problem with his claim. Day's video camera was set to 'long play' – so the footage was too grainy to be accepted. His record was likely to be rejected. Sure, he'd used the same camera, settings & Galaga board as his successful number 2 record, but the referee simply hadn't noticed the long play problem earlier.

Excellent article. I had never heard of either player and hopefully iy will be an interesting and continual competition between them for the record.
