Small Victorian town of Ferndale, CA. Awesome place to visit for a day and enjoy the cool architecture. There is a pizza joint, Ferndale Pizza Company that made good pizza, and had a small game room

There was also a Kinetic Sculpture Museum which housed some of the man-powered vehicles from this race that they have been doing since the mid 1970's:

If you are up in Humboldt/Del Norte County I'd reccomend an afternoon checking out the town.

I spend most of my life in humboldt county. Never went to ferndale a ton. Only when I had a girlfriend there in high school.

The victorians are awesome huh?

I love that pizza! Just around the corner from me. What were you doing up here behind the Redwood curtain?

I was up visiting my sister who runs an organic farm up in Fort Dick. We had actually camped the night before in Carlotta. My wife and I are usually up once a year to visit and help out on the farm.

Yup, I sure think so. Cool old homes with a lot of style. Lots of architectural details, and great color schemes. Plus Ferndale has a very cool old cemetary that is on a hill that overlooks the whole city.
