I'm in the process of rebuilding a Punch-Out control panel and have question about wire connectors, the attached picture is obviously the original connector and rubber cover. Can someone help provide me with type, size and a place to buy them. Additionally, does any one know if you can still buy the rubber covers. I checked my local electronics store and they did not have anything similar.

Thanks
Greg

There are two different sizes. I've seen those microswitches with the big and the small blades.

The new ones already have the rubber/plastic coating around them (at least where I buy them). I'll see if I still have the bag that says the size...

So based on the info you guys gave me, I did a little more research and found the following:

1) It appears as the red ones are for 18-22 gauge wire which seems to be the right guage
2) And there are 2 tab sizes - .187 and .25

So, then what is the correct tab size correct for a standard Nintendo micro switch.

Thanks again for the help.

I don't Nintendo specific...
But you could put a ruler up against one of your tabs and measure it.
.25 is 1/4"
If it's noticeably smaller than 1/4" then it would be the .187 size.

Check your local automotive parts store, might be more likely to have some nicer ones than what your electrical store has :)

They're .187 and Bob sells them for $5 for 50.
You can also get them at any autoparts store, Walmart, lowes, Hdepot,
for about 3.50 for 15. I usually order a bunch every time I make an order with Bob.

The ones here at Home Depot aren't fully insulated just partially .
They only carry the .250 and not the .185.
Fry's had .185 but not fully insulated,so I ordered for Bob Roberts.
