Feeling very thankful. One game goes. Another game arrives.

Did it come nice and clean like that? Very nice. Looks like the monitor needs some tuning, what model is it?

The cabinet? Yes, very nice and clean. Just had to vacuum and wipe dust off.

The monitor does need some more adjustments. I only spent maybe 2-3 minutes adjusting it (screen, focus, brightness, contrast, etc.) to get the picture to a playable state. A cap kit and rejuv is probably in order. I won't bother with either as I'll try to mess with the adjustments more. The contrast is probably a bit off right now.

I just finished troubleshooting the CR31 adaptor I was making for the 19" K7000 monitors. I can clean this one's guns now and rejuv if needed.

It did wonders for some 25" K7000 monitors I had.

Great Pick up Jess! DD was the first game I bought when I got into this hobby 10 years ago! I remember pumping many many quarters into that game in the 80's! The pull out drawer is awesome and I had DD II the revenge and DD III the Rosetta Stone boards and made it so easy to swap em out! I miss that game and shouldnt have sold it!

Yeah, I'll eventually want DD to be my silver age multi-Taito. I need to find Rastan, DDII, Growl and Ninja Kids to swap out. I know the last 2 games are up to 4 players, but it would still would be cool to have them in the rotation.

Nice score! Cab looks to be in great shape. I loved that game when I was younger too. NICE.

Nice pick-up. I restored one and added lighted buttons, it was a very sharp cabinet. I sold it because another guy was really looking for a nice one, and the attract mode was driving me crazy. I know you can turn it off, but I don't like not using the attract mode if there is one. It was a game I can remember playing the shit out of when it came out. I was like 15 at the time. Mine had the other side art and definitely had a painted/screened-on-wood CP.

Phet, what did you do where the dust washers used to be? Did you paint the areas of wear blue and red?

Sharp cab, btw. I'm 1/2 way done stripping the black spray paint off mine.

The guy I bought the CP from did that. I guess the dust washers must have worn the ink off in those areas already.

Yeah! I definitely remember your lit button DD. I really like that. :)

I looked at my CP again and...I dunno. lol! Mine wears similar to yours (color seemse to scrub off and reveal a white-ish base...I've just never seen that on another CP), so if you guys say it is the typical decal CP I'll believe it. My CP is def in worse shape than both of yours. :p

Really nice DD, both of them.

No it's not a decal, it's screened directly on the wood, which would be similar to painting by hand, except it would be screened ink. You're mostly right. The decals were repros or came in conversion kits. They look similar, but the layout, colors and spacing aren't quite the same.

you can't put Growl in there w/ good concience since it's a 4P game.

I found a blurry pic of my DD cab when I put it into storage at a friends warehouse (hence not being able to work on it)

I'm suffering from indigestion from the fresno sale still.

We've had this conversation. Just because a game is 4P doesn't mean you can't play 2P. Ex. All the Konami games. X-Men is up to 6P but most people play the 2P or 4P versions. In Final Fight, you can choose between 3 players, but it doesn't make it a 3P game. Ain't nothing wrong with playing 2P. :)

Your Taito cab art looks much better. Not as much fading. I can't wait to see you restore it back to DD. Your cab can be named Spike and mine can be named Hammer. ;)

Got my order from Bob (fast as usual) for a Blue Wico balltop shaft. Good Lord, Wicos look so much better. Sanded down the bolt heads as well.

Nothing wrong with that. I plan on utilizing my DD as the "3-button Beatemup cab". Def going to run DD1/2/3 and Final Fight in there. It'd be nice to be able to play something like TMNT on a good ole giant Konami cab buuuut...I dunno bout you guys, but I don't have the real estate. ;)

Nice how that blue stick turned out btw. Making me want to hurry up my other projects and get to mine.

I would use the black annodized bolts from bob cause think that bolts should be stealth.

The sticks look really nice however! +1 for Wicos in a DD.
The new Bob's stick looks a spot on match in color to the pair I have in mine.
