I had been looking for a Joust cab for a long time. There was a cocktail FS locally 5 or 6 years ago with a RAM error but that's when I didn't know sweet nothing about Williams or any machine for that matter. I've been kicking myself ever since.

I had lunch with a buddy of mine last week. Our mutual friend is Mike who owns Pinballmedics.ca here in Ottawa. My buddy told me that Mike had a Joust cocktail so I rang him later. We had been partners 2 years ago. I had some extra boards after closing my small arcade parts business (to spend more time with my family), so we agreed that I could put them up on his site with a 50/50 split.

Anyway, Mike's a real standup kind of guy. We met the next day and made a quick deal to trade my working Asteroids cocktail for the non-working Joust cocktail. Mike also recently bought a warehouse full of boards and cabs. I'll be helping him test the boards for the next while in order to get them up for sale on his site.

I only saw a dozen boards but so far he lucked-out and has two Armor Attack boardsets.

I'll be busy for the next while testing his boards. He'll slowly trickle them on his website.

Nice. Needs some work but that's OK. :)
Too bad you don't have the AST DLX CT anymore.

That makes about 3-4 Joust CTs I've been aware of in this area.
Doesn't sound like many, but for these parts it is ...

I still have my project Asteroids/Asteroids Deluxe cocktail actually. That one's going in the grave with me as well as Robo and Joust. Probably Xenon and Mario/Popeye too. Aw heck! All of them on my VAPS.

Speaking of VAPS, I have some updating to do.

^^Good job.

My definition of restore is to just get the game working. I have yet to do any cosmetic work on anything. I do however have a spare populated Joust control panel which I will swap out the yellow stick with the burnt one.

I had 3 Joust cocktails at one point...

One was just a empty cab, sat in barn for 10 years, completely rotted out, total write-off.
The Robo cocktail sitting next to it was thankfully salvageable.

The other two I picked-up in a big Operator score in 2009.
One was converted into a Black Tiger, so I sold it as is.
The other was pretty solid, so it's now on my long list of things to do...

I'd eventually like to have a Defender cocktail to complete the Williams Classics Cocktail Trio
(Defender, Robotron, Joust ), but that will have to wait a bit longer....

That's lot of Joust cocktails just for Ottawa. I heard somewhere that only 600 were made.

This one's cool too.
Can't believe I've never noticed them before.

Height Range 14-1/4 to 50-3/4 in.

>> damn, lift feature has limit of only 22lbs :(

ON TOPIC: at 500lb rated it could move the OPs Joust cocktail but won't be able to lift it.
The simpler lift can only lift to 28 in. but can lift the full load.

Probably...
I find having (3) kids REALLY cuts down on my personal time. ;-)

I got that dolly at Costco about 8 years ago. ("Champion" brand ...)
$129 !

It's particularly useful for moving/lifting pins...
It fits perfectly between the front legs and will lift any pin without a problem.
Then you can easily remove the legs and slide into any vehicle.
Very very convenient...

[BTW : Sorry for hi-jacking the thread, ...but VectorCollector started it !!! ]
