It seems that every TV I find has a CR31 8 pin neck with a yoke that's compatible with a K7000, and not a CR23 10 pin neck. Frustrating, since most of the monitors that I have here that could use a new tube (severe burn) are G07s, K4600s, etc.
Started poking at this G07 that I have here, and I got to thinking: is there a good reason why I couldn't swap the neckboards? The driving voltages have got to be roughly the same for both (maybe, I'd have to measure), the heater voltages are the same...I'd just have to figure out which connections go where.
You've got red, green, blue, ground, G2 voltage, focus...
It would be a little bit of work on each one, to figure out where stuff goes, but for a source of "new" tubes...
