They are all great. The B&W games are like a Zen garden: seemingly simplistic but with great depth the more you get into it. The spareness is a virtue. The addition of color with Tempest and the rest began to cross them over into actual fanciness. It doesn't detract but balances. Finally with Star Wars and MH they were full fledged action games where the vector aspect almost fades into the background. Almost.
