I like the general ones, whether it's shooting terrorists or zombies or evil ninjas, but I also like the ones that have training/bonus levels in between stages.
Carnival King is the only pure trick shooting one I know of but I would consider ones like Police Trainer to be in that same category. I'm not big on gun games but Police Trainer one I do like. Target Terror is one I play after work to relieve stress. I also like to get in a game of Area 51: Site 4 from time to time.
I was thinking of the hand held gun (cable gun) types but games with mounted guns are gun games too. Games like Operation Wolf, Terminator 2, Revolution X and Silent Scope fit into the same category (at least to me) as other gun games like Buck Hunter, Area 51, Carnevil, ect.
Not particlar between cable, or mounted. It is all about the game itself to me. Cheyenne, Carnevil and Silent scope all rock! and I like Revolution x because of Aerosmith.
Bad guy blasting? I'd say Elevator Action. That game is so addictive. I think I've played it more in the last month of having it than back in the 80s! LOL
