You know, every arcade, pizza place bowling alley, roller rink, etc I ever went to had gumball, candy or novelty machines in the entrance. What I remember most were the graphic stickers that used to be stuck to the inside or outside of the globes to advertise the contents. Remember the little pop can necklaces? Puffy stickers? Giant Orange Gumballs? Mini Madball Knock-offs? Little plastic Football helmets? If you have a favorite novelty product, or better yet, a nice image of one of the globe advertising stickers you remember from BITD, post it here.

The football helmets were my all-time fav. I loved changing out the facemasks to put the proper color on the helmets.

Popular then and popular now- sticky hands!

sticky hands were always fun, especially in school :)

I recently saw these in a vending machine and had to do a double take...

I saw one right outside of the Eastchester projects in the Bronx that had keychain "guns and grenades". I also had to do a double take!

I used to collect the football helmets, but I never got any teams I wanted. Just the white Patriots (yuck), dolphins (double yuck), cowboys (yuck), cleveland browns (why did it have a white blank logo sticker on it?) and atlanta falcons red & black. They were 50 cents a pop, and I never got any other teams. I got so sick of doubles I gave up. At one point I think I had 6 cowboys helmets. I'm not even sure if they made one for the Jets, but to be honest the team was so terrible then I'm not shocked, but I always thought maybe that time I'd be lucky.

My little brother and I were heavy into those football helmets and I think looking back it was a scam (although I don't know why; a Steelers' helmet shouldn't cost any more than a Saints one - remember back in those days the Saints were worse than the Patriots)...

We'd always see Steelers and 49'ers and Lions and want those, and we ended up with 3 or so Patriots, Browns etc. I thinnk they used the good helmets just for the display!
