What is some of your favorite box art?(Any system)

My absolute favorite is the box art for the original Castlevania.
Other favorites:
Gradius
Life Force
Ninja Gaiden
Bayou Billy
Contra
Dragon Warrior 2
Tecmo Bowl
Castlevania 2
Castlevania 3
Chrono Trigger

I'm sure I'm forgetting a few.
Yeah,I know....this is a mostly nes exclusive list.

There are so many to list, but the most iconic for me would be Super Mario Bros. 3. If we're going with artistic value, I'll throw in one of my favorites: Neo Contra illustrated by Jim Lee.

The game was mediocre, but look at that art! His work is amazing! :)

Hahaha! Konami rules when it comes to box art....for the NES anyway. Most of the Mega Man box art sucked ass. (IMO anyway) The only one that I like is Mega Man 2,and I'm not sure why as the artwork is kinda meh.Probably because it was the first MM game I played which led to my addiction.:D

Man look at that CV box art and how much ass it kicks! :D

If the Mega Man series didn't exist,Castlevania would absolutely be my favorite gaming series.

I don't think you can beat that Castlevania box art - Talk about iconic and it sums up the entire game.

I think it's leaps and bounds above the current anime bullshit art they use. I can't stand how gay they make the characters look.

Alright Mike! Nice to see you joining me in the Castlevania related avatars. Konami really had it going on for a while there with some really cool nes games and equally as cool box art.It seemed if it came from Konami in that iconic silver box,it was going to have great box art and be a pretty damn good game. :)

First two NES games we ever bought were both Konami titles: Castlevania and Rush'n Attack.

Glad I could be an inspiration! Other companies had some kick ass nes box art,but Konami's was definitely tops in my book. Funny how most of the choices are from nes games and not much else. There definitely was some cool SNES box art (Mega Man X3,Chrono Trigger),the PSX (Darkstalkers,Resident Evil 2,Brave Fencer Musashi,MMX 4-6) and PS2 (Mega Man X7 and X8,Castlevania LoI and CoD,MK Shaolin Monks) had some as well.

here in europe we had those too from amstrad cpc, much favorable:
