Jerry Lawson, dead at 70. Definitely worthy of being called a pioneer in the industry. RIP!

That deserves some silence. I still have mine. I remember my dad buying that instead of an Atari. Baseball was my favorite. The joysticks were cool push down on the head to swing and twist them to turn etc.. There are some homemade carts for it people have coded themselves and are selling. Oh I did end up with the Atari then the colecovision. I still have all these systems today in my basement.

I still have my "F" too. He will be missed.

You know you're getting old when all of your heroes start dying.

Lawson was the sole black member of the Homebrew Computer Club, a group of early computer hobbyists which would produce a number of industry legends, including Apple founders Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. Lawson also produced one of the earliest arcade games, Demolition Derby, which debuted in a southern California pizzeria shortly after Pong."

He developed Demolition Derby for Chicago Coin, I presume. Neat!
