I'm in the midst of trying to fix a F&F 2004 Raw Thrills game. The computer has died. The original motherboard is a MS-7061 VER:1.0 KM400 8237. I replaced the motherboard with one that I had, not a match to the original, but has the parallel port for the dongle. I reloaded the machine and it all works fine except for the sound.
Has anyone looked into the actual WHY the sound doesn't work if the Motherboard doesn't match? Is there an audio driver that can be pushed in to fix this? Or is there another work around? Is there a PC model that is an actual plug and play for this? I would have to think that this is a driver issue for PCs to use different hardware in its place. Any info would help. Thanks

You would be correct. You replaced one of the two oldest motherboards that this game officially runs on... which means you may have the oldest software and the least hardware support.

I've posted the official parts reference, FnF on page 3. What version of software do you have?
