My f&f Drift is stuck in maintenance mode, I can't get it out, this is the first time working with one of these drift computers, what's wrong with it?

I have an original model ASRock computer with the single vga dongle

Anyone with a paypal, I will pay $5 to whoever can solve this problem.

I think once you run them in maintenance mode the only way to fix it is to run the recovery software. it's been a number of years since I've had to muck with any of that stuff on Raw Thrills games.

I don't have the recovery disc, I bought an original f&f machine off a guy who had actually replaced the entire computer so I only have recovery disc for f&f, but I don't have the f&f dongle. any chance someone has a 3.03 recovery iso?

gamefixer is out of the country right now but I can ask if he still has access to his recovery disc repository. if he does it might be awhile.

otherwise Raw Thrills or Betson Imperial support might be able to help

I tried contacting raw thrills, they hung up on me... gamefixer is my best hope

They recommend I do the same...

yeah they're asking for the motherboard because there's probably like 10 different versions of the game made for all different ones lol

the regular FnFs at work I think one runs Windows and the other one Linux, for example. they talk to each other and that's all that matters.

I didn't even know some versions run Linux, i knew some Raw Thrills games like BBH do, but not the fnf series, my FNF Drift runs Windows XP

Drift might all be Windows, I'm talking regular FnF
Oh, that's odd they would be asking me about that, because mine came with drift, the previous owner swapped the original computer for a drift pc

yes they need to know if it's a Microtel which came with multiple different motherboards or a Dell

The problems never end do they... Now when I plug the i/o board usb cable into the computer, the computer just shuts down, and will not turn on unless removed... which means the game won't work... I guess I need a new i/o board... not a huge fan of these PC era games as you probably can tell... 🤬

Welp, they left me with this... I also called, once again, they hung up on me... and I don't know where to "order online"

Yep, I hate these f##king computers, it died on me and now it won't turn on no matter what I do, so it's dead 🖕🖕

Have you tried jumpering the power supply with a paper clip? The computers also won't turn on if you have the molex connector on the back disconnected. or bypassed. Most are a molex connecter, I've run into a couple that had something else but either way, it needs to be connected.

take a picture of the inside of the case. I will provide your next instructions then.

as Encom noted, there's like a passthrough/Y-cable harness for the motherboard power plug on Raw Thrills games that nerf the power button. it's because they're intended to have the BIOS set to power on when AC power is applied (meaning the PC power supply on/off switch is on and the game cabinet switch is on if you're running in the game, it will turn on). if the 2032 CMOS battery dies this setting is lost and you'll be effectively stuck where you're at now.

because these all had different motherboards those settings will appear but with slightly different verbiage between them.

we just got Drifts where I work the other day, but can't muck with the computers until Monday when we're closed.

Here... I already replaced the cmos battery since I had the same issue earlier, at the time, that didn't actually fix it, now, I'm not so sure

that's a Microtel. the power button is above the DVD drive. those mini ATX power supplies are prone to dying however
