I just picked up this F & F, and after hooking up a monitor to it I was able to hit F1 to continue and then it tried to boot but ended with a low virtual memory error. I looked and could not find anything related to this and I'm not sure where to start. Has anyone seen this or have any ideas what I can try?

Thanks.

yeah Raw Thrills used Linux for almost everything but the F&F games. I don't think there's much in the way to get around Windows on those machines from what I've seen, so there's really no way to fix any software issues.

There is but it requires some knowledge. Like getting to command prompt by either renaming gun.exe to something else and renaming cmd.exe to gun.Exe. ( once done doing everything theses will need to be renamed back) then disable windows ewf

ewfmgr.exe c: -Enable

Enables the EWF from the DOS cmd prompt.

ewfmgr.exe c: -Disable

Disables the EWF from the DOS cmd prompt.

ewfmgr.exe c: -commitanddisable

Commits changes that exist in the RAM state to the drive, then disables the EWF from the DOS cmd prompt then Get task manager open and select restart should boot back to command. Type – ewfmgr c:
This will verify ewf is disabled. Then either work in cmd or type explorer.exe to bring up windows explorer and do whatever you want. Install new video card drivers etc. Ewf needs to be enabled when done reboot to verify then rename the cmd and gun back. Reboot and you're back to game.

Well now I'm completely confused. Are you saying that I need to do all the above or only if the restore disk does not work?

Well your issue is probably from corrupt of failing hard drive, so restore may be your only option. I just posted a way to get into game to do some troubleshooting if one knows how.

Thanks again for the info. I will try and recruit someone that is a little more computer savvy than myself and give it a try.

I HAVE SEEN THIS OVER 100 TIME ON INCOMING REPAIRS.
YOU ARE RUNNING LOW ON MEMORY, EVENTHOUGH IT SAYS VIRTUL MEMORY YOU NEED TO UP IT TO 2GB OF RAM PC2-6400 AT 2GB
OR TWO STICKS OF PC2-6400 AT 1GB

HOPE THIS HELPS

Yes this will help. We have done all the above with no success. Thanks for the reply.

So after installing a 2GB Ram this is now up and running. Leond thanks for getting me in the right direction.
