Well NAVL called and these boys are gonna be on their way to Cali tomorrow. Safe travels fellas.

Are you packing them up somehow? I'm getting ready to crate up a game for shipping via NAVL. Hopefully they won't change the price on me

Yeah it is. I can always find and restore another DK(I have an eye for the Nintendos), but I have never seen another Paperboy for sale around these parts.

Nope, they take them from here to the terminal and there pack them tighter than Frizz packs the pizza delivery boy's fanny pack with his special 'tip'.

That's quite a tip! I wish mine was that easy, I'm building an entire crate so it makes it to NY safely

The Paperboy is going to Tom, but the DK is headed to M1A(Todd). They pulled the ole 2 games/one money trick.

They are coming to a good home Phet... although I wouldnt have sold those beauts. Even if you never played em, you should have appreciated (and let others appreciated) all your time and effort.

**note to self, never become a pizza delivery boy in Nampa**

Phet:

Just now PM'ed you before noticing this thread. Disregard it.

I can't wait. Those look great beside each other. When Tom gets tired of Paperboy, I'm first in line, I hope.

I'm hoping I'm first in line for his Punch Out, should he ever feel the need to move it on. Man, his PO is very, very nice.

You trust them to do that?? I've shipped with NAVL before, and after seeing what else was loose in that truck and their "blanket wrapping service", I wouldn't ship anything with them without packing it well enough on my own to guarantee safe arrival.

Doesn't bother me a bit.

While I'd like to get into restoration, I have no time for it. I also don't have the space.

So I'm the collector who will pick up the perfect game in my Denali. I will pay good money for the perfect game. And I just won't discard it when I'm tired of it. I'll respect it and, if I bought something I got tired of, I'd find a good home for it.

As for the DK, I have a 4 year old daughter and I'm going to teach her how to play it. I'm kind of on the lookout for an excellent Pac Man or Ms Pac Man (preferably the latter), because I think she would enjoy one of those more at her age.

If any of you Southern California collectors have a Pac Man or Ms Pacman in excellent condition, that you are willing tp part with, let me know.

I wasnt questioning your bankroll, bro. Hope you didnt take it that way.

Thanks for all your hard work that went into these great restorations phet and thanks guys for the compliments. Wish I had a house for paperboy and the rest of my cabs, unfortunately they are gonna be hanging out at my storage unit / wannabe gameroom for a couple years more until I save up a decent downpayment for a house. Btw M1A, my degauss coil has been sitting in my car for the past month or so. Need to find a way to get it to you to try out.

Oh no, not at all, man. I didn't think that is what you were doing. I just have to be one of THOSE collectors...you know, the guy who doesn't do shit about fixing up games...the guy who has to buy them in perfect or almost perfect condition.

If I had space, I'd get into rehabbing...definitely.

heheh including delivery...I paid $1025 total. I've seen some cheaper PO's in good shape since then, but I don't regret it one bit. A new plexi to replace my slightly scuffed one and the cab will be perfect. Would be sweet to be able to run Super Punchout in the same cab via a switcher. Dunno if that's possible though.

Tom

Yeah, Tom...I'd like to try out that degausser. I have the feeling, though, that the screen problem on that game is a cap kit. I've bought one, I just need someone to come do it for me.

heheh have you tried contacting Dave Shumard from gamewizards? he is terrific. Just sent him my dragon's lair decoder board and he fixed it for $20. I'm probably gonna have him check my machines and have him recap as needed.

Once you get space, I highly reccomend it. Its such a feeling of accomplishment when you do. I am only sideart away from a full Centipede resto being done, and I am currently in the middle of a full resto on my Track and Field cocktail. Im telling you, when you watch them come together, its awesome.

At the same time though, when you can afford the coin for perfect games, its cool too. Nothing better than having a game that you dont have to worry about, ya know?

Still though, once you get room, try one resto out... I think everyone should attempt one in their lifetime!
