I noticed a fair number of people have already posted some trader ratings today. These ratings show up in the for sale and wanted forums, and also in the membership list found inside the 'Community' menu item.

Note just because someone has a rating doesn't mean that they will show up in the iTrader menu under 'Browse All Members'.

In order to be listed in that directory, you have to select the 'Your Options' choice under the iTrader menu and then fill in a short description for what you are looking for and/or the types of things you have for sale...

FYI...

What's the deal with sellers not reciprocating on feedback? Every single buyer since the system has been put in place has added feedback and I've reciprocated yet it seems every seller I've given feedback to has failed to reciprocate. Sup with that? This thing only works if people participate.

Does it really matter? Will anybody really give bad feedback? Won't the fear of getting anything bad reciprocated tend to keep a lot of people from participating?

Trust me...if I have a bad transaction, it will be well documented... regardless of repercussions.

I've just noticed that iTrader ratings by the same user ID counts as one in the Feedback Score even if the person bought different items at different times. I think that this should be corrected.

Thanks

Actually for some reason it seems after you have more than one rating the system doesn't give you a point for the last one for some reason.

I would also like to ask that if a buyer leaves the seller positive feedback the seller should do the same. I have 3 sellers that haven't reciprocated. Not a real big deal but it's the right thing to do.

If the other person took the time to leave you feedback it's only right to reciprocate.

Over at AC, I used to not give buyers feedback because I thought, well they're just buying. Not much for them to do but pay, right? But I later thought differently, so I belatedly gave them feedback. Might as well, I guess.

Someone had mentioned this idea to me and it made sense:
A buyer isn't just paying. If something goes wrong the way he handles it
can be reason for good or bad feedback. Communication on something that is
out of the ordinary. Willingness to be flexible in odd situations that are out of either
party's control.

All issues that could be considered when leaving feedback.

I was looking through my feedback ratings and noticed I had left feedback for 22 transactions but have only received feedback for 16. This doesn't really affect me because I have other feedback, but if if someone goes through the trouble of leaving you feedback, common courtesy would be to do the same for them.

I know that this feedback system might not seem relevant right now especially when it concerns buyers (since al they do is send the money). But with all the people getting scammed lately I think this will change. If we start requiring new members with little to no posts that are selling something to ship first then they need to be able to see that the buyer is someone who has a record of paying.

The only way they'll be able to see this is if some of the sellers who have received feedback step up and do the right thing by giving some return feedback.

In case anyone doesn't know hot to leave feedback here's a step by step.

First you click on the person's username to view their profile then go through the following steps.

I'm new to trading on here, been using ebay mostly. GLADLY will post feedback now that I know sellers can rate too. Thanks for informing me guys!

Jon, I left ya good feedback. smooth transaction buddy. haha :)

wow.
i thought leaving feedback for a transaction is a no brainer? Why the hell not say if a deal went sour or solid? It helps everyone out. New users to the community, such as myself, can use this information with regards to dealing with people and who to and whom not to buy from. I know the first section i go to is the "for sale" section and i always check the sellers feedback if im interested in an item.
just my 2 cents
