Ok, so I have to ask... Has anyone done a Shaker or Subwoofer upgrade on a FGY?

Because if either (especially the shaker) adds to Fart Multiball, COUNT ME IN.

:D

God, it's a shame my wife actually likes Shrek.

I wish they would've done an American Dad pin instead of FGY though. ;) I'm sure it was probably out before AD was even on the TV, but we're ignoring that! Wizard Mode could be Roger's Wardrobe, lol.

Family Guy pinball come out in '07 ...AD was already on the air.

There is no shaker code in Family Guy...so, don't put a shaker in one....nothing will happen. :)

Damn. Well, I might have to try a speaker upgrade someday. There are some good rips during Fart Multiball. :D

And I agree, Fart Multiball is fun to say. :)

American Dad could make a good Pinball. There is a lot to that show and it could focus around Stan and the CIA and go from there... I think Stan's character is one the best.

For what it is worth, I put a Flipper Fidelity speaker and subwoofer upgrade in my wife's Shrek and I feel it sounds incredible. Naturally, I do not know if this will translate to a FG, but for Shrek I have been very happy with it. :)

I just put a FF speaker kit in my Tron LE and I actually have mixed feelings...i think it's almost TOO much - and I don't like how the glass vibrates. It also lessens the effect of the shaker since the game is always kind of shaking due to the sub. I dunno, I'm tempted to take it out and go back to stock.

That's cool. I got your PM too. Thanks! I might have to give it a try.

Have you tried the different bass hook-ups on the Sub Greg? I don't have a machine in front of me, but I know there are two ways to hook it up so that you get a lower, and higher bass. Maybe if you haven't, try the higher hook-up, maybe it won't be so bassy.

I think I approached it in reverse...I thought "low" was less bass and "hi" was more? Do I have it reversed? I put it on Low cuz Hi seemed like too much...hmmm

Basing off car subs Ive put in plenty of times before if you put on low you generally hit the way lower tones and in the bass world and that usually equates to heart thumping beats, especially if it is a good subwoofer than can handle the lows. I don't know all of the options that sub control comes with, but if you posted them I could let you know where to tune it.

Yea, I think the first FF Set I put in I did the same thing Greg. Along with what jrivelli said, I believe the "lower" bass will be more, the the "higher" bass will be less being more towards Mid-Range. I guess to make sure you could email Mike at FF. He's pretty good about emails.

The FF website says "low" lowers the woofer by 3db ...which leads me to believe "low" = lower volume ....right?

I think so? Lol. Sorry Greg, I thought I knew what I was talking about.

I believe I did the opposite of what you did on my IM (my first FF kit). Then, when I put them in my TFLE, I realized I hooked it up so that I got less bass. (Hooked it up to the high). So I changed it, and I thought I got more (hooked it up for low).

But, if that's what the website says; I would agree, less db = less volume.
