I am lucky to own a Twilight Zone already, so I would like to add another machine: Family Guy or Indiana Jones (Williams, not Stern). Which game do you recommend and why? Is one higher maintenance or more likely to have issues than the other? What should I look for in each if I get one? Thank you for your time.

This is a no-brainer: Indy all the way. Family guy is fun, but it can't touch Dr. Jones with a ten-foot pole. IJ has better art, better gameplay, a better theme, and better replay value. Get it!

Ive played both and I still have a family guy on the showroom. Family Guy is probably one of my most favorite show and Indy is my most favorite movie series. I would have to go with Indy based on the fact the family guy gets a bit boring to me after awhile. just my 2 cents.

Both games are great challenges, and I like both of them. I think Indiana Jones is the far better theme, but neither one is a bad choice when it comes to gameplay. Seeing the final modes for Family Guy is probably more of a challenge, but Indy is a pure rush throughout and its replay factor is very high.

I'd think that either opinion between these two machines could be considered the right one, but for me, I'd take the Indiana Jones over the Family Guy.

Indy! I'd love to own one. I passed on an overpriced one awhile ago, and slightly regret it. A year and a half later and not even a close chance to buy one in my area.
While I do not know Indy's track record for repair, I do know from experience that Sterns in general have a high breakdown rate, at least when on route, than most other machines. That said though, Stern has support available. I understand many people here will tell you different, and they maybe right, that in the home environment that is not the case.

Family Guy!!!

After almost 3 years of trying to get to Sperm Attack wizard mode, I just cheated by playing a 10 ball game and got to it :) ...it is INSANELY AWESOME!! Now I wanna get to it for real...wow!

Williams Indiana Jones-

Fairly deep game, and has a great sound/ speech package. They took the first three IJ movies and made a "triology" out of it. Thank goodness...because the last movie Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, disgraced the series.

My opinion is biased though....I am a Williams/ Bally snob.

Thank you for the input. Are there certain things on each machine I should look out for if I buy one, such as parts that usually break or if not working can make or break the gameplay?

Without question, I'd absolutely get the Indy.

But then again, I'm not a fan of Family Guy and its brand of lazy comedy, so...

Indiana Jones all the way. I love Family Guy as much as the next guy, but can't stand that Family Guy and Shrek are the exact same machine. I also think the translite for Family Guy couldnt be less appealing. I'm also completely biased. :)

Says the guy who completely restored one and sold it shortly after, :).

Just messing with you Hugh.

It's cool man no disclaimer needed :)

I'm fighting the urge to sell my games. The only two games I have that I can safely say I don't want to sell are my TZ and Earthshaker LOL

Anyone want a NBA Fastbreak? :D

This thread is some kind of april fools joke right? Would you rather have a 66 convertible mustang or a pinto? C'mon guys let me know your thoughts. I vote for Family Turd. Its turdalicious.

I try not to be rude, but you're as worthless of a poster as we've seen for a long time. Enough trolling, dude. All you do is piss on every thread you enter around here.

I didn't entirely care for it when I played it all of 10 minutes, but I would not go that far. It had some fun shots.

The only pin I have ever played and thought it was turdolicious was Harley Davidson. I'd think most would have to agree with that.

As for FG, it is a good pin, just not for me. And for the record, if there was a Williams label on it, many would feel differently.

Agreed about the label, shardian. I don't find FG all that challenging (to my style of play), but the design is rock solid on it. There's just something about it that makes it so I have really long ball times and can get through the modes easily. It is enjoyable, however.

With Indiana Jones something always jams me up before I can complete that game. I own one and I've never done it. That's not to say it's better, but it's juts more challenging for my style of play.

What, because I don't like Family Guy. Dude get over yourself and your sensitivity issues. Do I personally attack you for bagging on games I like? Why not just agree to disagree and quit getting so butthurt. I gave my opinions on pins that I like and dislike as does everybody else. So just because I commented negatively on 2 or 3 pins that I believe are lame that makes me a whiner or worthless? I give honest opinions so deal with it. Worthless is something entirely different. Chill man.
