How do you guys have all this time to play these games?

I don't that's for sure. After taking care of work and family it's hard to find any time to dedicate to a game. It doesn't stop me from buying them though

I did buy Fallout 3 but I haven't played it yet. So on a scary scale how high up is it?

Well, it doesn't necessarily aim for scary like a survival horror game, but there are some scary moments. I've had some moments where I've been spooked. Sadly some of that comes from the fact that I need a better video card and the draw distance isn't very far for NPCs

Damn... in the first week that I've been playing the game, I've already logged 21 hours!

I'm glad I waited until the semester was over until I bought it!

I've obtained it, but I don't have the training to use it apparently. I'm not exactly sure how to get it (maybe get in better with the Brotherhood of Steel?), but I'm not too worried about it for now. I'm just cruising around dressed like a Mad Max Motocross guy, but also wearing tortoise-shell glasses

Does anyone know where the Small Guns Bobblehead is? I have found and searched about 130+ locations and no Small Guns. It is the last one I need. I want to know if I overlooked it or not.

Has anyone here downloaded the expansion missions for FO3?

Operation Anchorage and
The Pitt

If so where and how do you download them??

I'm still stuttering through the original wastelands. Enjoying it still, just play it an hour or two at a time though.

I just can't do that. Once I start I can't stop. The next thing you know it's 24 hours later. I haven't played it in months though since there was really nothing left for me to do. I'll play the expansions when they come out on disk.

Thanks Jeff! Now I have to get a Games for Windows account to download them. Kinda sucks but of well. Hope the new contect is good! I'm still not done with everything in the original release, and I think there are a bunch of Mods out now for the game, so I'll have to check those out too.

Are the expansions free to download on PC? I know they cost on 360, but it's worth a shot. I've heard that Operation Anchorage is not very good, but I'd still be willing to give it a try.

I finally 'finished' the game around 75 hours or so, I've visited every location on the map except Vault 87, which is so irradiated that it's almost impossible to get to the door. I may go back, bind a key to Rad-Away, and buy like 200 of them to see if I can get the icon to change on the map :p The ending sequence was brilliant ;)

Ok I'm stuck. There is a little pocket of locations that I can't seem to access. Due east of Megaton, around the DC Mall. Am I missing something on how to reach these locations? Every time I mark one on my Pipboy and try to follow the directional arrow, I get stopped by rubble in the path and can't seem to find another way around. I'm guessing there are around 20-30 locations that I can't seem to get to. HELP!

Don't you have to get the GECK from Vault 87 in order to finish the game? You can't get in to 87 from the outside, only through Little Lamplight.

Yes, but it won't change the icon on your world map to show that you've been there unless you get to the front entrance. I tried again, but you have to have literally something like 50+ RadAways (which isn't as easy as you'd think, merchants usually only have a few), an advanced radiation suit, and any other items that raise rad defense. Maybe I'll try again this weekend....

I went ahead and got The Pitt expansion, since Operation Anchorage didn't sound that interesting to me (and I found an MS points card that had been laying around since last summer). Pretty good stuff :)

Drop a Rad-X as you approach from the North and bind Rad-Away to a key and keep taking them, you can jump down by the entrance.
Nothing to see there though but some dead scientists and a broken terminal.
