I finally have my hands on the Satan's Hollow mini I posted about a few weeks ago. During the cleaning process I noticed that both the block tag and instruction card say "Kick Mini". There is evidence another instruction card was stapled to the other side, inside, of the cabinet, but is now gone. There is a SH mini serial tag inside the game. However, the number normally stamped into the top, back of the cabinet is too damaged to compared it to the S/N on the SH mini tag. The marquee, bezel, CP and boardset are all SH, so this one has me confused?

I haven't seen the inside of either a Kick mini or Satan's Hollow mini to compare the iso, brick, power board, etc., to see if one matches mine.

Anyone know if any Satan's Hollow minis were ever factory converted or should I assume this is a field conversion? I guess the op. could of had a damaged SH cabinet and swapped the parts to keep the game going??? He would of had to manually transplanted the SH mini serial tag, however.

Could you post some pictures? I'd love to have a close-up look at a Satan's Hollow mini...

Bally did that a a lot with games that were not selling....swap them over at the factory to something else.

SN

Too bad you cant read the sn stamped in the cab. Maybe they stamped over the sn if it was a factory conversion making it unreadable. I have a Kick mini to help you compare. It is sn 200 I dont think there was more than 500 or so made. Not sure how many SH minis were produced. A lot of the parts between the two are interchangeable so It would be an easy conversion for the factory as well as an operator.

Here are some pictures of the game insides, tags, etc. I also looked inside my TRON mini and the Satan's Hollow mini matches, except for the large blue caps and the transformer next to it being reversed. Oh, I do need to take off the battery from the 90412 PS PCB.

The wiring harness on my Satans Hollow has a tag that reads "Satans Master".

mine reads both satan's power and satan's master on the harness, always thought that was weird.

scottc - that transformer looks like it is tron style more than satan's hollow, the way the "big blue" caps are setup on it. i don't know but would assume the minis used the same transformers as the uprights, so that could be a conversion, as my upright satan's hollow has a different transformer.

I would. Get a battery kit fro Bob or Riptor. That way you dont have to worry about it.

Regarding it looking like a TRON...
Yes, I agree cleverlyj, based on looking at my TRON mini. It looks the same except for the transformer and caps being in opposite positions. I would still like to see the inside of another Satan's Hollow to see how it differs. TRON and Kick must have used the same set-up, however, since this was clearly once a Kick (fact or field...). Anyone?

Regarding the battery...
Exactly. I mentioned it since I believe it's visible in one of the pictures and I was sure someone would mention it. The battery has long since died, so that means it is just begging to leak! :)

I am thinking this is a factory conversion, since I did find the serial number stamped in the cabinet. Normally, Midway put it on the upper left of the cabinet. It is there, but not easy to read and looks like 26, 28 or maybe those with a small 1 in the front (really hard to read). However, I found a 188 on the center right back of the cabinet and that matches the SH S/N. The stamp is similar, so I would say that mostly confirms this. Thanks for everyone's thought.
