Here's a before and after on one of my faceplates for my DK Junior. Took a lot of elbow grease, as I sanded them by hand. Still, I'm happy with it. As of now, I'm not going to paint them. I may change my mind, though.

Thanks! The sand lines aren't as visible in real life (I think the flash of the camera enhanced them a bit), but the buffing wheel is a good idea. I'll have to pick one up sometime.

I just talked to the US rep about getting 100 sets, and he said he would sell me 1 faceplate if that was what I wanted. No $50.00 minimum. I was going to front the money to buy 100 so I could sell them to people who wanted them but did not want to pay the min. on it. I decided that there is no point to it, since there is no minimum. As far as cleaning them up, yours look great, and I am all about using what you have, so congrats on your work man!!!
