What do you think about arcade parts being auctioned off on live video facebook auctions?

I've bought a couple of things from DJ DNS's and I like the idea in theory... It's live action so the group can ask questions, and you can get some deals.

But what I like least is how they take 5-10 minutes per item even when no one is bidding. Ok it's an non-working AR-II. It's bid up to $40. Let's move on! No... we're going to sit here for 8 more minutes and stare at it. zzzzzzzz I walk away from my computer and sometimes miss the rest of the auction.
What do you think?

I hear you. I usually keep auctions like this on in the background while I'm doing something else, and listen to find out if something pops up that I'm interested in. I do appreciate when the seller posts the lists of items available in advance with photos, but that takes effort.

I've also checked out Whatnot a few times, which is an app designed around live video auctions, and it works pretty well but I think sellers prefer Facebook because:
  1. Facebook has a much larger audience
  2. Facebook doesn't take a cut like eBay or Whatnot
  3. Taxes

I agree with @CharlieG: leave it on the background while doing other stuff, show/say what you're going to sell, and no fees is great. All the money goes to the sellers (and shipping).

Todd Tuckey's auctions always have like 30 things and he says what's being sold, in order. That's the best way to do it.

If it's on facebook, I'm not participating.
The key is to only actively participate in the Facebook Auctions that have top end winning titles. That way everyone gets a front row center view when the alleged grow op fire breaks out in the warehouse!
