FS Game: FA: Spy Hunter

First, a direct link to your auction would be easier for others to reach it:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/152334685536

Second, your description has some fallacies in it:
Code:
This is a working Spy Hunter arcade game. The game came from a very nice
smoke free home but has been sitting for a number of years. The cabinet is original
just painted over by the owner. You get new decals for around $200 on here if you
choose. The boardset seems to work fine. All the sounds seem to work well. The
transformer at the bottom has a couple big caps kind of flopping around but do work.
The coin door credit wires are not hooked up. The machine gun trigger works but the
oil slick and smoke screen do not. The only thing on the steering column that works is
the steering, machine gun and you can call for the semi to replenish your car. The
monitor is in good shape for its age. This machine is dusty and could use a good
cleaning. I will not ship this machine local pick up only. If you want to arrange all
shipping, I have no issue with that and will help scheduling a pick up time. The game
is at a business with no loading dock.

NOTE: I have seen just the boardset go for over $500 alone on E-Bay.
As of now I am not willing to part this out.

PAYMENT: I prefer you pay cash at pick up vs Pay Pal.

BEING SOLD AS IS.. Due to the fact this is a very old piece of electronic history.

1. "you can call for the semi to replenish your car"
false - you don't even need to ever hit that button and the semi comes, i bet you $5,000 on it buddy

2. "NOTE: I have seen just the boardset go for over $500 alone on E-Bay. As of now I am not willing to part this out."
false - you noticed this former ebay auction: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Spy-Hunter-...Board-PCB-1983-Working-Boardset-/322241258413

Which said it sold for $525, but a "BEST OFFER was accepted", to find out the true price the seller (quarterarcade) sold this pcb for, go here:

http://www.watchcount.com/#serp

type in the auction # for that listing: 322241258413

And low and behold... pcb was sold for $350

also, why is your starting bid at $700 for?

Those board sets commonly go for 250 to $275.

I will resist the urge to price police the rest.

Thanks for pointing that out.

I just love the constructive criticism (I think I spelled that right) people like to post on here. I knew me posting that auction would bring them out. Look, I am just trying to sell this game nothing more. $700 was just a random number I thought was fair. If it does not sell I will listen to offers no big deal. Thanks for your interest.
