ehhhh

a few years ago you could have gotten a few thousand for it but it's pretty useless now. no one is making PS2 games.

So what? Look what collectors pay for a 30 year arcade game. Don't tell me no-one out there wouldn't be interested in this. It's not about developing new games, it's a collector piece. Some console freak would probably love that thing.

I am seeing this listed under "Video Games > Wholesale Lots > Console Systems"

I have to think it would get more views/interest if it were listed in the PS2 category.

I think you can play backups on it, other than that... there's not much you can do other than "have" it and look at it. We had them when we were developing PS2 games but testing was done on "TEST" machines and even now with freeloader... you can do almost anything from a a generic PHAT or SLIM PS2.

The climate for these only recently outdated dev tools are probably small. When Sony was charging us 10K for them I happen to find one on craigslist for 1K about 4/5 years ago to help save costs on our startup game publisher.

i was going to list this thing under "video games, systems" but the max on shipping is $15! doh. this thing is big and heavy. shipping is going to be closer to $30-40 range.

yes, i got a bid :) looks like the bidder is in the UK. i went ahead and listed on the UK ebay listings for an extra .40 cents. ive gotten alot of emails from uk and the netherlands. chris
