FA: NOS Black Widow Kit

No one is going to repro the art, because people want two full pieces of silk screened art for $50. It's not going to happen. If it was, someone would have borrowed the original screens from me, and would save themselves the trouble of scanning it. Same with the NOS piece of Euro Gravitar artwork from a couple weeks ago. I have the original screens, but no one is ever going to repro it. There is just not enough demand to waste any time or effort on projects like those. I even have the Tempest cabaret and Asteroids Deluxe cabaret sideart, and have offered them up to the people can make a project like this happen, and they had no luck in drumming up any interest.

I hear what your saying, but I would pay at least $150-$200 for the sideart if it was available not $50...

+1. I have a machine that is in A+ shape. Everything internal is completely rebuilt and clean. It's a Space Duel converted to BW and it looks and works great. It has an original glass BW marquee, original BW CP with repro CPO and repro stick gromments. I would pay $150-$200 for high quality sideart. I'm not interested in inkjet junk. The cab has original woodgrain sides so there's no 'art' to cover up anyway. New sideart would really jazz it up.

There was repro sideart available about 2-3 years ago, Archer's I think, and I didn't have the money available at the time. I decided to wait and simply missed the boat. There was an online store selling it for a while but I can't find it now. Over the past 5 years, I've learned that you have to strike while the iron is hot or you'll just miss out.

Someone mentioned earlier that they had a nice BW that hw couldn't get $650 for. I hear you! I think that the problem is that there's just not enough people around who remember just how good the BW gameplay really was. Most people simply don't know what they're missing. It is, in my opinion, one of the top vector games ever produced. It plays like Robotron but with bugs and its color vector. Once you start getting used to the game, it becomes addictive. A wg6100 in good shape is worth $400 to $500 by itself. The BW board is actually a Gravitar board with BW roms so it can in fact play both games. Hell, the AVG chip alone is worth $40. I would pay between $750 to $1000 for a working BW in very good condition. Even if not yet electronically restored (but still having nice sideart), I'd pay the $650 in a hot second for this game.
