I am auctioning 3 spare Williams boardsets on EBay: Stargate, Robotron and Joust. These sets have been gone over thoroughly and are working 100%. The proof is in the pictures. They were my backup sets in case of catastrophe at the Houston Game Show.

So if you are looking for a working boardset (as opposed to "untested", "working when pulled", "I don't have any way to test these" and all the other bogus EBay terms), here you go.

For KLOVers only, if the boards do not work 100%, I will repair or replace them for the cost of shipping.

Each set contains a Rev -D motherboard, an I/O card and the appropriate ROM card with mostly original ROMS.

Hey Ken,

Can you file us in on the cool monitor set up you show in the pictures for testing these? What kind of monitor, how much does it cost, where'd you get it, how'd you figure out the connector for the game display, what kind of power does it require, etc.. Looks really portable and useful. I want that (with the harness) more than the boardset!

Good luck on the auctions.

Hi Joe,

The LCD monitor was one of the batch of them I sold off a few months ago. It's a CGA resolution LCD monitor made be Panasonic. If you search for "7" LCD monitor" you'll probably find the thread. VectorJunkie did the heavy lifting sorting out the pinouts. They run off of +12V and +5V so they run off the same power supply as the boards. Unfortunately, my source has dried up so that first batch looks like it for now.

I am currently refitting my Williams testbed to be self contained using one of these (there was one that was enclosed in a plastic case) mounted to the board itself along with a standard switcher (so I don't need the 20 pound transformer). It will also have a switchblock so I can test all of the I/O inputs. That's part of why I'm selling these off, to get the funds to finish the testbed, as well as a couple of restores sitting in the garage.

Thanks Ken. I remember that long thread on those monitors, I admit I didn't keep up and read it all. Last I recall the pinouts weren't figured out. Looks great. I sure missed out on one of those monitors. Bummer
