Had owned a previous System 11 pin, aka Pinbot, and liked that allot. How does this compare? I'm picking it up tomorrow for a song (and maybe a dance).

I've only played it once but I enjoyed it. And if the one on ebay right now would go for $300 I could enjoy it in my basement next to my Pinbot :)

Not a very deep pin, but the light show and sounds are cool!! The spinning beacon lamps are awesome in a dark room. It also has the left kicker tunnel....it shoots the ball back at the flippers..Overall I like the machine.

Not me. I hate this machine. One of the worst ever. I especially hate the sounds on this machine.

We had several on our route when they were brand new. No matter what settings or adjustment we did to them, nobody would play them. We ended up selling them off at a loss. We couldn't get rid of them fast enough.

F-14 is not a very forgiving pin. If you have a moment's lapse in concentration, you will drain. My first game lasted all of 10 seconds. Once you figure out that the ball is coming at the flippers fast, you can stop it and have a reasonably good game. It is a challenging pin to play, and rewarding as well.

Not eBay, local here. I'll be having it in my van in about an hour from now so I'll have pictures up tonight.

Ken, didn't know that this pin wasn't a money-maker. I can't really pass on the offer because it's too good of a deal.

I was reading about some of the prototypes and noticed that it had clear flashers additionally. I'm pretty sure this has them too but it may still be a production model. I didn't have too much time to look at it aside from it being buired in a closet with clothes and quilts all over it. Side art is assed out for sure but more on this later, wish me luck!

UPDATE*UPDATE*
I got the game unloaded tonight and cleared out the years of crap in it. I threw the game on and got U25 Ram Failure. I noticed 4 of the legs were off of the chip when I pulled it out and repaired them. Got the game to fire up and played a few games and it went dead again. Same thing.. U25. Where can I get a replacement chip? The one that is in there is a Toshiba TC5517APL-2 ....Any help would be appreciated. I'll get pics up later!

From pinrepair system11:

Replace the RAM chip at U25.
At this point I usually replace the RAM chip at U25. If this chip is bad, this can stop the CPU from booting. This is a 2k by 8 CMOS static 24 pin RAM chip. The part number will be 2016 or 6116 or NTE2128. Early system 11 games specify this chip as a 5177, but it can be replaced with a 6116 instead.

Anyone know where I can locate one? I checked Digikey and Mouser to no avail!!
