I have a monitor (formerly a k4900 chassis I believe) that has a eygo chassis installed in it.
I have posted about it before, and how shitty it was for spy hunter.

Well anyway, I have recapped it and it has a beautiful picture for a 60 in 1 cab.

I have one problem:

When the game sits in attract mode it looks great and when it is in game mode it looks great.
But.......... when the game switches from attract mode to a specific game's attract screen, or from attract to the start of a game there is a jump in the screen that resembles a power surge. It disforms and jumps for 1/4 of a second and goes into perfect picture mode again.
Does this virtually every time the screen switches from 'pac man attract screen' back to main attract screen, etc.

I have seen this before with several different oddball models - all recapped. I've never figured out a fix for it...

yeah I am not even sure it needs a fix. Game play is flawless and the picture truly is really really good. (after it was soooooooooooo shitty for spy hunter)

Like I said it appears to be getting a huge power surge when it changes screens.

thanks mod, I feel better about it, and probably won't do anything about it.

edit:
Is it a stupid idea to try running the monitor power through a surge protector power strip in the bottom of the cab? I have a couple I could hack up for testing purposes.

Well, you'd have to run it off the isolation side then through to the monitor. I doubt this is your issue. If there was better documentation on these chassis, we may find a leaky diode that is causing this...
