Guys I got this DE Star Trek for a small amount of money, as you can see why. It was in a fire and I plan to restore it over the winter this year with some changes to make the play a bit more unique than just a restore to original. Playfield wood is excellent with no wear or damage, but I do think the plastics have drooped a bit!

So here are the before pictures:(Do you think a restore is possible?)

Anythings possible but I hope you did not pay much for that.

It will be a labor of love for sure.

Yes a cup of coffee seemed reasonable but now that I have started cleaning it............

LOL!!! Well good luck. I've done things like this before but not that bad.

Did the ramps get warped a little too? You can strighten out both plastics and ramps with a heat gun if you did not know.

Read the thread I did a little over a year ago on the restoration I did to a Gottlieb Cleopatra that had burnt in a house fire. Similar to what you will go through. Your machine looks very good and quite savable.

Well they are not only warped but have pretty bad smoke damage, in fact thats the worst part, but after taking some of it apart I did see that the back glass transporter slip graphics are in good shape, just need to replace the acrylic backings. The ramps however will need to be redone and I will probably make moulds and heat gun form them. I also picked up a couple of small plastic models by Polar Lights. One is the Enterprise and one is a Klingon Warbird, probably incorporate them into the ramp exit holes in the back of the play field.....

I powered up the control and sound boards and they were fine......

Guys here are some progress pics, cleared Play field and also built the new back box, will be finishing it tonight.

Also the melted acrylic that is in the last picture was the piece that covers the DMD/plasma, which I will be replacing along with a Pinscore replacement display.

Just a quick question if anyone can help, due to the smoke issues the lamp sockets are a mess, I am thinking of replacing them on the back box panel. Can anyone tell me the manufacturer part numbers for the #44/47 staple down type, screw down type and also the screw down type for the #89 bulbs? I need to buy a bunch so a wholesaler or cheaper source than the usual pinball sites would be awesome.

Oh ya I also ordered replacement plastics from Classic Playfields, they should be here in a few days.

Thanks for any help with the lamp socket sourcing!
