Just wondering if anyone has seen the extreme arcade machines that Sears Canada is offering for $799 CDN? Kind of steep but to build one from scratch (new cabinet and all) you may end up paying close to that. NOT To mention you would have NO shipping bills with this unit as Sears has free shipping.

Just wondering how hard it would be to ADD or subtract games to this 50-1 machine? Kind of surprised that they can retail such a thing unless they got licenses from the gaming companies?

Better yet, how hard would it be to add coin mechs? Not that im suggesting getting a return on the machine :)

It has a main menu allowing you to select your game of choice.

Highly doubtful any of it is hackable. Especially as far as adding games and coin operation.

Have you seen one in person? They aren't that big and are not built as sturdy as a real arcade machine, but they are definitely a step up from those horrible Midway and Williams Target machines, which are literally a cheap toy with a 13" TV in them.

that's a cabinet from Chicago Coin. i don't know if they bothered to make their stuff upgradable or not. they claim they have all necessary licenses and have sold a couple different models of multi-game cabinets.

as for adding working coin mechs, i wouldn't count on it.

Sears was blowing them out here 2 Christmas's ago for $299 per. My cousin bought one, and yes...it is NOT an arcade machine.

It says in the manual that it has a VGA monitor and the drawings look like a normal PC monitor. Must have a 48-in-1 type board in there. I wouldn't mess with one of those personally. Too many real cabinets available that you can do whatever you want with like a dynamo.
