Is there a tool for extracting the pin from the one-position housing on monitor neckboards? It's the wire that runs from the flyback to the neckboard.

I was wondering if I could just substitute a trifurcon pin and molex connector that I cut from an in-line molex housing.

Thanks
Marc

I usually just use the '.156 pin extractor'. As for replacements, I have been using a small gauge butt connector and it works but is not original.

Is there any chance you can take a close pic of the housing and extracted pin? I am at work today with nothing to do, this gives me plenty of time to search for the correct part but I don't have one with me to use as a reference.

The pin is long gone, but here's the housing and pin on the neckboard. I just cut one slot of the end of a straight-line molex housing and used a trifurcon pin.

A Molex .062 will also fit on that header.....

Edward

Yeah, I have done that too but it is not original. I try to keep mine as close to original as possible in order to prevent confusing someone working on it later. I really hate to see undocumented changes made to things...

i get out my DREMEL tool with a brass brush for super cleaning the male header pin if im not soldering the wire to the pin.
