Bored because I'm bummed that Pinbot is gone, and Stargate...a bit less bummed about stargate leaving though. STTNG is the only pin left in my place right now, until I get off my butt and go pick up Space Shuttle from Punkshere2stay (We should do that this weekend if you're around..). Got a whole lotta nothing going on pin-wise. Missed a CL ad for a 1800 TZ and I had the cash IN HAND...so pissed off about that.
Excited a bit, because I ordered my full LEDs for STTNG...flashers and everything, will be the first game I have with full leds...we'll see how that turns out. Also got my cliffy protectors on the way so that's good too...
Bored because I know all the work getting this stuff done will entaill. I really honestly NEED to strip the entire top of the playfield all at the same time so I can clean it properly. I had half of it off the other day and that was beyond tedious. Thank god the right ramp and borg assembly will just sit on the backer without having to be unattached from the wire harness.
Annoyed because even though I got a great deal on the game, I'm still pounding a ton of money into it to get it into great condition instead of just "nice". I'll eventually need new plastics set (1 cracked, 1 was replaced with a hand cut piece of black plastic...it's the correct shape and I TOTALLY admire the handiwork, but looks wierd! Some other ones are scuffed from posts etc..), would like to get the repro ramp set, but just can't justify 300$ on it when I could buy the mantis ramp protectors and the existing damage would barely be noticeable! My cannon gearboxes need to be taken apart, cleaned, and re-greased...they sound horrible and looking at vids, they're REALLY slow moving. It's probably like brown glue in there if the lane diverter shaft was any indication.
Anyone else run into this love-hate situation with their games when you're in the process of waiting for parts/restoring? I shouldn't complain at all with what I got it for, but sometimes the details just beat you down...
