Games is in good condition but is missing side art on one side. Machine was at Zapcon in AZ this past year so you may have seen it. Only have one picture but I'll take more today when I get home from work. Game is a Chuck e cheese survivor that is why I've hung onto it for so long. Game is located in so cali.

Reasonably priced side art and CPO available at TOG. GLWTS, I'm sure it'll sell fast. Not many Venture's around these days, IMHO. Classic game.

Very cool game ! I bought mine from Kalan also and had been on the hunt for years . Glad it's going to an arcade where it'll be available to the public !

Venture has some lame ass graphics, yet it's a great, fun, classic game. I played it a ton bitd. This game is proof that gameplay, not graphics, are what makes a great game great. Played one a few months ago and it still makes me smile ear to ear. 😁

I think most Exidy games are like this.

Don't forget the cool sound effects, and especially the music. With the exception of the "Wall" room, each room plays quite the unique and catchy tune.

My favorites are played in the "Bat" and "Cyclops" rooms.

And yes, how times change...I picked up my Venture upright around 2000 or so when they were practically being given away. I paid $100 :D . And I also remember boardsets going for < $25 in most cases on eBay at the time...picked up a couple at that price back then...sure glad I did.

JROK or someone out there needs to make a multikit for these games...could include several Exidy classics:

Venture
Mouse Trap
Pepper II
Fax
Hard Hat
Teeter Torture

Maybe:

Targ, Spectar, Victory

An Exidy JROK has been discussed before.

There are several games using the same "hardware". List and more info can be found here ->

EXIDY UNIVERSAL GAME BOARD V2 HARDWARE
Main CPU : M6502 @ 705.562 Khz
Sound CPU : M6502 @ 894.886 Khz
Sound Chips : Custom @ 894.886 KHz

Balloon Ball
Fax
Fax II
Fire One
Hard Hat
Kreepy Krawlers
Mouse Trap
Pepper II
Rolling Star Fire
Side Trak
Snapper
Spectar
Star Fire
Star Fire II
Tailgunner II
Targ
Teeter Torture
Venture
Victor Banana
Victory

Just need to convince JROK to do it. :)

Would be pretty neat to have a multigame. I want to get a switching setup so I can play Venture and Targ in my Spectar cabinet.

Probably easier said than done, though. Even though they share the same motherboard, there is a ton of variation between the various sub-assemblies.

I can say the pepper II harness is exactly the same as venture..

So it is for Mouse Trap, Hard Hat, and Teeter Torture. I have tried all of these boardsets in my Venture upright, and they worked fine.

For MT, just needed to add an extra small connector to accommodate the extra buttons on the CP.

For TT, the canon/shooter would pull to the right constantly but you could still move the shooter left so it was still kind of playable ;) . You would need the extra interface board to make the roller controller work which was no doubt unique to the actual upright.
