FS Parts: Exidy Targ Board Set

Have this untested (I have no way to test this; not jamma) Exidy 1980 Targ 2-board set and ribbon cable for sale that seem to be in nice shape. Based on some of the chip lettering (HRL), I was told that this board set is currently a Targ but possibly it can be re-progammed with new chips to be another Exidy board? I do not have any other Exidy parts to sell at this time.

FYI I think Hudsonarcade sells replacements for the color board though how to get it, how much or whether it's still available I couldn't tell you.

As far as what it can be converted to, I think Spectar is just a ROM swap and a few mods to the color board. Side Trak doesn't need the color board as it's B&W composite, though there are a few normally unpopulated spots on the board that need to be and no doubt a few other minor mods to the board. Other games like Venture, Pepper II, Mouse trap etc all use the same main board as Targ but they all have a much different sound and video board that replaces Targ's smaller one, so unless you have a spare kicking around converting it to those games isn't practical.

Short answer is no. PII's daughter board that goes in place of the Targ/Spector color board looks a lot different so I doubt his board is compatible at least not without serious mods. But even if it was PII uses the same type of top board as Venture, Hard Hat and Teeter Torture which is much larger and very different from the smaller sound board Targ, Spectar and Side Trak use, so unless you're lucky enough to have a spare handy you're out of luck, and even then there's probably some minor mods involved between the different games.
