I've read that this is the first cockpit game ever made. I've also heard that this was the first game with highscore initial entry, but thought that would be asteroids. Regardless, it is a rare bird and I'm not sure there are many of these out there anymore.
I will update this post when I get it off the truck and take proper pictures after a good cleaning. Just putting this out here now as I have time to post and to see if there was enough interest to make me hurry up and unloaded it. A huge layer of dirt and grime, but I thinks it's going to be in good shape underneath. The only damage I have noticed is that the top piece which is about 4 inch wide and covers the top of the marque box is not secure, and it appears to be joined by a pair of heavy door hinges. You can't see then when assembled, and pulling the door pins (which are missing, maybe in coin box) is all it takes to separate it at the top. Maybe it's original. I also questioned the modified television set (complete in box with plastic back) as a hack, but turns out they definitely came that way from the factory. It has a property tag which I believe to be from Aladdin's castle where it likely began it's tour. There was an empty envelope in the bottom from Aladdin's castle. It appears to be 100% complete.
I did plug it up and it didn't do anything. Will investigate further when I get it unloaded.
Available for pickup in Selma, Alabama. Fastenal does not ship from my location. I can have this waiting at a location with a dock if that helps with shipping.
Here are pics of it as picked up from being in it's resting place for MANY years. Still in my truck so only had the light of the camera
