Hey all.

My Mousetrap machine recently developed some issues after working fine for the last four years.

About a month ago, it started freezing shortly after boot up, whether on attract mode or an actual game. Usually would happen between one and five minutes after powering it on.
Original Condor power supply was replaced several years ago with a working switcher.

Mousetrap boardsets have two boards, the main PCB, and the sound board.
I have a previously untested spare Mousetrap boardset in my possession, so I tried all four combinations of the various boards to see what would happen... here are the results.

The original boardset that was in the cabinet is identified as "A", the spare boards are listed as "B".

Main "A" + Sound "A" = freezing shortly after boot up

Main "A" + Sound "B" = freezing shortly after boot up

Main "B" + Sound "A" = boots up fine, but red scan lines appear when mouse turns to dog. If hawk comes out when the mouse is a dog, the dog immediately dies, the hawk doesn't even need to touch him.

Main "B" + Sound "B" = audio PCB error upon boot up, plays silently, red scan lines appear on screen when pressing yellow door button, same weird "hawk kills dog" error when red scan lines are visible.

Any ideas? I'm hoping that I can swap some chips between the PCBs to end up with a working PCB again... Failing that, does anyone have a known working Mousetrap boardset for sale?

I would suspect the power supply and connectors before I'd suspect the board set. Check the PS voltage at a chip a ways away from the connector, especially after the freezing occurs. Check the voltage on the PS. Reflow header solder joints and/or replace headers/connectors.
